Stainless Steel Laser Cutting & Fabrication
Stainless steel is widely used in sheet metal fabrication for its corrosion resistance, strength, and clean visual finish. At LGM Engineering, we regularly laser cut, fold, and weld a range of stainless steel grades for industrial, architectural, hygienic, and external applications. Stainless steel is well suited to components where durability, appearance, and long-term performance are critical, making it a popular choice across many sectors.
We commonly work with 304 stainless steel, which offers excellent corrosion resistance and good formability for general-purpose applications, as well as 316 and 316L stainless steel, which provide enhanced resistance to chemicals, salt, and harsh environments. These grades are often specified for food processing equipment, pharmaceutical environments, marine applications, and external architectural features where corrosion resistance is essential.
All stainless steel is processed in-house using high-power fibre laser cutting to achieve precise profiles, clean edges, and consistent accuracy. CNC press brake forming is carried out with controlled tooling and bend allowances to maintain dimensional accuracy and minimise surface marking. Welding is completed using TIG or MIG processes to produce strong, clean joints while preserving the corrosion-resistant properties of the material.
Material grade and finish are selected to suit the end use, whether the requirement is strength, hygiene, appearance, or environmental resistance. If you are unsure which stainless steel grade is most appropriate for your application, our team can provide guidance based on performance requirements, fabrication methods, and budget considerations.
